How does it work?
My Lean Pronunciation Method prioritises the most problematic sounds, which leads to rapid progress. As each student's challenges are unique, so is the curriculum and the exact format of the lessons are tailored to the needs of the student. However, there are three main stages: reception, reproduction and repetition. These three stages happen simultaneously in a cycle known as 'the three Rs'
Speech analysis
The student’s speech is analysed to identify problematic sounds and other areas for improvement, including stress and intonation.
Reception
The student is taught to identify the target sounds and distinguish them from other sounds.
Reproduction
The student is taught to reproduce the target sounds accurately in isolation, words and connected speech.
Repetition
The student repeats exercises regularly to develop muscle memory in order to reproduce the target sounds accurately in real conversation.
Self-sufficiency
The student can confidently identify and reproduce the target sounds and requires less instruction from the teacher.
Requirements
Students must have a computer, headphones and a microphone. You will benefit less from my lessons if you use a smart phone.

The classes will take place on Skype, Zoom or Teams; students must have at least one of these applications.

My teaching hours are 08:30 -20:30 (UK time), Monday to Friday. Please contact me to confirm my current availability and book a lesson.
Refunds & cancellations
Lessons can be cancelled without charge before the lesson is due to begin. Cancellations after this will be charged the full price of the lesson. I do not offer refunds. See my Refund Policy.
